On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Iran-Japan diplomatic relations, the Iranian Film Festival in Tokyo has kicked off on August 5.
Organized by the country’s cultural attaché in Japan, this is the second edition of Iran’s Film Week in Tokyo.
A lineup of 7 films has been selected to go on screen at this year’s event.
The films are showcased in the original language with Japanese subtitle.
The selected films include ‘The Lost Strait’ by Bahram Tavakkoli, ‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia, ‘Sweet Taste of Imagination’ by Kamal Tabrizi, ‘The Painting Pool’ by Maziar Miri, ‘Crazy Castle’ by Abolhassan Davoudi, ‘So Close, So Far’ by Reza Mirkarimi and ‘The Last Supper’ by Mohammad Qane-Fard.
The first edition of the event, held in 2018 in Tokyo, lasted for three days.
